Curling and Carbs - Raising Dough for the DGCC

For the second year in a row the Dundas Granite Curling Club has partnered with a local bakery, COBS Bread University Plaza, to put loaves of fresh bread in your home and raise money for DGCC!

How It Works

Each $45 bread card includes 12 loaves of bread or 6-pack of buns, to be redeemed over a 3 month period from Nov 1st to Jan 31st. An additional 2 waves will be run over Feb-April and May-July. $20 from each card stays with DGCC, and the other $25 is paid to COBS.
 

You can purchase multiple cards (ie. if you want more than 12 loaves), but only one card can be used per bakery visit. COBS is a small-run bakery and want to ensure product is available for all customers, so only one loaf of bread or 6-pack of buns is allowed per visit.

This fundraiser is not exclusive to members of DGCC. If you have family, friends, or neighbours that also love COBS Bread they are welcome to take part and purchase a bread card! Simply share this form with them and they will receive an email update when their bread card is ready for pickup.

The card is only valid at the COBS Bread University Plaza (Dundas) location.

Redeem by going into the COBS Bread at University Plaza, selecting your bread or 6-pack of buns and presenting the card to the cashier. They will stamp your card, and that’s it!

These cards are a great value! Not only do they raise money for our club, but you get a loaf of freshly baked bread or buns at a discounted price. Depending on the variety of loaf you choose, the normal cost ranges from $4.75 to $7.85 per loaf, so the value of the card ranges from over $55 to over $90.

Please support local! COBS Bread (University Plaza) supports DGCC via this bread card program as well as sponsoring a mixed bonspiel at our club, so let’s support them as well.

2. E-transfer your payment to dundaspayments@gmail.com ($45 per card, no tax). Deadline is Oct 29th (to enable timely card pick-up), but card purchases for the Nov-Jan period will be accepted beyond this.

3. Pick up your card from the club in early November. An email will be sent to you when they have arrived.

4. Start enjoying your COBS bread and carb up for the curling season!
